Is it wrong that I get really worked up when Glee make grammar mistakes in Spanish?
Like:
Mr Schuester: when you say, “I’m going to Mexico for the day”, do you use ‘por’ or ‘para’?
Student: “Por”?
Mr Schuester: “Para”
Me: *throws laptop accross room, skin turns green, yells*
“Por” or “para” -the Spanish equivalent of “for”- should never be used as temporal marks in Spanish. The correct answer would be “voy a México/Méjico a pasar el día”.
EDIT: fellow Spanish speakers from other Spanish-speaking countries: what do you say? Is that correct in your country?
